CheckDisk-Check your drives for disk errors

CheckDisk is a a free powerful tool for disk scanning. Its main function is searching and repairing disk errors. It is quite similar to the ScanDisk tool or chkdsk.exe, supplied with the Windows operating systems. You can select one of two available options: either standard or full tests. The full test additionally performs a sector check. It is capable of finding bad sectors on your disk and marking them as bad, so that bad sectors will not be used to store or retieve dat in future. The program works both with hard disks and removable media.
